Casual Carper Baits

Casual Carper Bait Review

Heard of them? No, I hadn’t either, but if you have been looking in the carp magazines recently you may have come across them for all the right reasons. When Casual Carper posted about the need of testers I was eager to try their bait range out. After briefly following this small business I was really taken with the way they package their bait. Unlike traditional companies, Casual Carper don’t use the typical plastics used to contain bait. Their packaging is completely biodegradable and the only company to be providing this in the carping world. There is no need to worry if the packaging gets lost as it will break down due to the biodegradable properties. They are essentially resealable paper bags but a lot more attractive. Other nice additions are that labels for pots can be bought for your existing pots so there is less plastic being distributed. You will receive the hookbaits in bags, although you can still buy the bait in pots if you need to.

Worth it?... OH YES!
What do you get for your money? Quality bait that catches carp, but with a difference. I received a good bag of bulk bait which was the krill, along with matching wafters, some really nice sweet-smelling pastel wafters and the classic white chocolate orange flavoured pop-ups. Straight away you will notice quality in all areas, from the texture to smell. The Spiced Krill boilies were soft but not too soft and just seemed to be a nice digestible bait. They also smell amazing, well as amazing as krill can smell! they will sure bring in carp to feed from a far and the matching krill wafters are spot on as well. They look just like the free offerings and provide perfect buoyancy. The pastel wafter range are something different. The colours are washed out pastels, something I haven’t seen before and an attractive feature. Popups are one of my favourite baits and I managed an 18lb mirror on these. The white chocolate orange is a flavour I’ve not used before - I just wonder if they taste as good as they smell!

The whole range is definitely worth a try and a few flavours seem to be popping up that other companies have not really put out there yet. The new Bakewell Tart sounds awesome and it’s one bait I really want to try this winter. If you’re looking for a new bait to get onto then look no further! Casual Carper have you sorted, and if you can help keep the environment green at the same time that’s surely another reason to choose their baits. Go and check them out! casualcarper.com
