Colne Valley Tackle Hooks = QUALITY!

Colne Valley Tackle

There are lots of companies out there selling various patterns and sizes of hook for wallet burning prices. Why pay more for something you can get elsewhere cheaper whilst still retaining the same quality? Colne Valley Tackle tick all those boxes when it comes to terminal tackle and I managed to stumble upon them when I had a bad experience with another hook company. Ade approached me
and suggested his range.

So why choose Colne over other big well-known brands? While you may not have heard of Colne Tackle, looking around their social media sites will help you gather that they are catching big fish which can only be a good thing when looking for a reliable hook. I was looking for some size 6 curves but there are many types of hook pattern and in most sizes, with the likes of kranks, wide gapes, long shanks and more. I settled for the curves and I was surprised and very happy. I was sent some other hooks to try and test - some wicked looking camo curves and kranks. Another nice feature is the added anti-scare coating to the hooks which eliminates the shine and glare some hooks can give
off. Having this removed is something which can only benefit your catch rate. The biggest and most notable part is that every hook in the packet is razor sharp! I think if you’re having to open a packet of hooks and having to put a sharpening kit to them straight away there’s an issue, but this definitely isn’t the case for Colne Valley Tackle hooks.

Straight away the quality is spot on! Compare these to other brands and you couldn’t tell the difference in both strength and quality. The only big difference is the price - you’re paying half the price compared to when buying big brands at £2.25 for a pack of 10 and elsewhere you’re looking at a near £4.00+. With Colne you’re getting the same product if not better! So, don’t be put off by cheap prices thinking it’s too good to be true. These hooks are mega sharp, no defects and weird shapes and they will catch you fish! I’ve had multiple fish on one rig and have not had the need to change due to blunt points, so you really are getting quality and a long-lasting hook.

I’ve only lost one fish, and this was due to my own error when using these hooks. Every other fish has been nailed! I’ve been using these hooks for ronnies, basic hair rigs and the german rig and all of which have been spot on. I am a big fan of cheaper tackle and if anything, Colne are well up
there for me. Sometimes these companies get overlooked and anglers are really missing out, not only on saving money but getting a good quality product that will catch you fish and keep your confidence up.

Final thoughts are if you’re looking for affordable, strong hooks then Colne Valley is the place to go, not only for hooks as they do a whole range of other products from bait to cookware and much more. It’s well worth a browse and I’m confident you won’t be disappointed. I’m very much going to be a lifetime supporter and customer of Colne Tackle Valley for both the products and because of the customer support.
